In previous post, I told about research on software architecture.
The research took me to find the following books:
- The Man month Frederick P. Brooks JR,
- Software Architecture in Practice, Len Bass, Paul Clements, Rick Kazman, Carnegie Melon SEI
- The Cathedral and the Bazaar, Eric Steven Raymond
These three books present views on software architecture but with different perspectives:
The first book is about large project management and the real life experience of the writer. The second book is about formal studies of software architecture. The third book is about the methods and logic of open source projects.
I’ve taken insights from all three books and created a presentation on software architecture in relation to other roles.
The workgroup itself was a success, as the presentation created a heated discussion and there were many items for future discussion.
